About Kontron
Kontron makes embedded computers, which are small purpose-built computers that sit inside machines rather than on a desk. Its range covers boards, computer-on-modules, industrial PCs and rugged VPX components for defense use. The company traces its origins to 1959, when Branco Weiss founded it in Zurich as a supplier of scientific instruments. It is now Kontron AG, headquartered in Linz, Austria, after S&T AG took control in 2017 and later adopted the Kontron name in 2022.
