About Quinas Technology
Lancaster University spinout commercialising ULTRARAM, a non-volatile memory invented by Prof. Manus Hayne that targets flash-like retention with DRAM-like speed and endurance. In July 2024 it began a 1.1 million pound Innovate UK project with IQE, Lancaster and Cardiff universities to move ULTRARAM wafers from 3-inch university production to 6-inch MOVPE manufacturing at IQE; the project completed in mid-2025. Quinas also won a WIPO Global Award in July 2025 and has an Innovate UK-backed neuromorphic feasibility project.
Quinas Technology and is based in Lancaster, United Kingdom. It is listed under Memory & Storage. Reported funding is 1.1M GBP Innovate UK project with IQE (Jul 2024).

What Quinas Technology works on
Memory & Storage
Memory and storage hold the data that processors work on. Memory such as DRAM is fast and loses its contents when power is removed. Storage such as flash (NAND) is slower, cheaper per bit and keeps data without power.
