About Saimemory

Saimemory is a Tokyo-based company formed by SoftBank to develop a stacked DRAM memory technology called Z-Angle Memory, as an alternative to high bandwidth memory (HBM). HBM stacks DRAM chips vertically beside AI processors to move data faster, and Saimemory aims to offer a different stacked design. The company has been reported to work with Intel and the University of Tokyo. It is a development-stage business and has not been confirmed to have a product on sale.

Saimemory was founded in 2024 and is based in Tokyo, Japan. It is listed under Memory & Storage.

What Saimemory works on

Memory & Storage

Memory and storage hold the data that processors work on. Memory such as DRAM is fast and loses its contents when power is removed. Storage such as flash (NAND) is slower, cheaper per bit and keeps data without power.
