About AheadComputing
AheadComputing designs high-performance CPU cores based on RISC-V, an open instruction set, and plans to license them as intellectual property for other companies to build into chips. It was founded in July 2024 by four engineers who left Intel, led by chief executive Debbie Marr, a former Intel Fellow with 33 years at the company. A seed round of $21.5 million led by Eclipse was announced in early 2025, and Tenstorrent chief executive Jim Keller joined its board.
