About Apple (Neural Engine)
The Neural Engine is a block of silicon inside Apple's own chips, built to run machine learning tasks on the device rather than in a data centre. Such blocks are often called NPUs, short for neural processing units, and they handle the repetitive matrix arithmetic of neural networks using far less power than a general processor. Apple first included one in the A11 Bionic chip in 2017, which powered the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Later versions appear in Apple's A-series and M-series chips. Apple is headquartered in Cupertino, California.
Apple (Neural Engine) was founded in 1976 and is based in Cupertino, CA, United States. It is listed under Custom Silicon, Edge Computing.

What Apple (Neural Engine) works on
Custom Silicon
Custom silicon means a company designs its own chips for its own products or data centers instead of buying standard parts. The chip is made by a foundry such as TSMC, but the design belongs to the customer.
Edge Computing
Edge computing means processing data close to where it is produced, on a device or a nearby server, instead of sending everything to a distant cloud data center. In chip terms, edge processors are small, low-power chips that run software and AI models inside phones, cameras, cars and sensors.
