About Flow Computing
Flow Computing develops the Parallel Processing Unit (PPU), a block of hardware that sits beside a CPU and takes on work that can run in parallel, leaving the CPU to handle the rest. It can be built on the same silicon as the CPU or as a chiplet, a small die packaged alongside others. The company says the design is independent of instruction set and works with Arm, x86, RISC-V and Open Power CPUs. A compiler for the PPU was in alpha as of May 2025. Flow Computing is based in Finland.
Flow Computing was founded in 2024 and is based in Espoo, Finland. It is listed under AI Accelerators, CPUs & RISC-V.

What Flow Computing works on
AI Accelerators
An AI accelerator is a chip, or a part of a chip, designed to run machine learning faster or with less energy than a general-purpose processor. The category includes GPUs, TPUs, neural processing units (NPUs) and chips from many startups.
CPUs & RISC-V
A CPU, or central processing unit, is the general-purpose chip that runs a computer. It reads instructions, does arithmetic and logic, and decides what happens next. Every phone, laptop and server has at least one.
