About HopeRF Microelectronics
HopeRF designs wireless radio chips and ready-made radio modules, mainly for sub-1GHz bands, along with sensor chips. Its range includes LoRa modules such as the RFM95, which use a long-range, low-power radio technique suited to sensors and meters that send small amounts of data over long distances. It sells components for other makers to build into products rather than finished consumer devices. The company says it was registered in Shenzhen, China in 2004 and reports more than 2,500 cooperating customers.
HopeRF Microelectronics was founded in 1998 and is based in Shenzhen, China. It is listed under Edge Computing, ASICs.

What HopeRF Microelectronics works on
Edge Computing
Edge computing means processing data close to where it is produced, on a device or a nearby server, instead of sending everything to a distant cloud data center. In chip terms, edge processors are small, low-power chips that run software and AI models inside phones, cameras, cars and sensors.
ASICs
An ASIC, or application-specific integrated circuit, is a chip designed to do one job or a narrow set of jobs. Its circuits are fixed when the chip is made. A CPU can run any program; an ASIC does what it was designed for and nothing else.
