About ParTec

ParTec is a German supercomputing company that develops ParaStation Modulo, software for running and managing clusters, and promotes the Modular System Architecture, in which separate pools of general purpose, GPU and other nodes share one network so a job can use each type as needed. This differs from clusters where every node is identical. It worked with Eviden on JUPITER, which was inaugurated at Forschungszentrum Julich on 5 September 2025. ParTec is headquartered in Munich.

ParTec was founded in 2002 and is based in Munich, Germany. It is listed under HPC & AI Systems, Quantum Computing.

What ParTec works on

HPC & AI Systems

High-performance computing (HPC) means using very large clusters of processors working together to solve problems that one machine cannot handle in a reasonable time. These clusters are called supercomputers. They run weather models, physics simulations and, increasingly, AI training.

Quantum Computing

A quantum computer is a machine that uses the rules of quantum physics to process information. Its basic unit is the qubit. A classical bit is either 0 or 1. A qubit can be in a superposition, a state that combines both, and its measured result is probabilistic.
