Polar Bear Tech, known in Chinese as Beiji Xiongxin, is a Beijing company that designs chiplets, which are small chips combined in one package in place of a single large chip. Its Qiming 930 processor uses a central control chip with RISC-V cores, an open instruction set, and links other functional chiplets through high-speed interfaces. The company says it wants to build a catalogue of reusable chiplets that customers can choose from. It came out of Tsinghua University's Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences.
