About Prophesee

Prophesee designs event-based vision sensors. A conventional camera records full frames at fixed intervals, while each pixel in an event-based sensor reports only when its brightness changes, which cuts data volume and delay when scenes move fast. The company supplies the sensors together with its Metavision software tools. Its GenX320 sensor is offered in a kit for the Raspberry Pi, and it has a partnership with Tobii on eye tracking. Prophesee is headquartered in Paris.

Prophesee was founded in 2014 and is based in Paris, France. It is listed under Neuromorphic Computing.

What Prophesee works on

Neuromorphic Computing

Neuromorphic computing builds chips that copy some features of the brain. Instead of a central processor and separate memory, a neuromorphic chip has many small units that act like neurons, each with its own local memory, joined by connections that act like synapses.
