About Intrinsic ID
Intrinsic ID supplied security technology based on physical unclonable functions, or PUFs, which use the tiny manufacturing differences in each silicon chip to create a unique identifier and cryptographic keys that cannot easily be copied. It is chip security IP rather than a processor maker. The Intrinsic ID website now redirects to the Synopsys PUF IP page, where the products QuiddiKey and Zign appear under the Synopsys PUF name, consistent with the Synopsys acquisition recorded here. Eindhoven in the Netherlands is listed as its base.
Intrinsic ID was founded in 2008 and is based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is listed under ASICs.

What Intrinsic ID works on
ASICs
An ASIC, or application-specific integrated circuit, is a chip designed to do one job or a narrow set of jobs. Its circuits are fixed when the chip is made. A CPU can run any program; an ASIC does what it was designed for and nothing else.
