About Zilia Technologies
Zilia Technologies assembles and tests memory modules, the small circuit boards that carry memory chips, for electronics makers selling in Brazil. It operates plants in Atibaia in Sao Paulo state and in Manaus. The business was formerly SMART Modular Brasil. The Chinese memory company Longsys bought an 81 percent stake in 2023, and Penguin Solutions sold its remaining 19 percent to a Longsys-linked buyer in March 2026. This is a packaging and module business and does not design chips.
Zilia Technologies was founded in 1995 and is based in Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil. It is listed under Custom Silicon.

What Zilia Technologies works on
Custom Silicon
Custom silicon means a company designs its own chips for its own products or data centers instead of buying standard parts. The chip is made by a foundry such as TSMC, but the design belongs to the customer.
