Key Foundry, now operating as SK keyfoundry, is a South Korean contract chip manufacturer based in Cheongju. A foundry fabricates chips designed by other companies. It works on 8-inch wafers, an older and smaller format than the 12-inch wafers used for leading processors, and serves power management chips, display driver chips and microcontrollers. It is owned by SK hynix, the memory maker. The business is mature-node manufacturing for everyday electronics rather than cutting-edge compute silicon.
