About BAE Systems Electronics
BAE Systems makes the RAD750, a radiation-hardened single-board computer for satellites and spacecraft. Radiation hardening means the chips are built to keep working despite the particle radiation found in space. The RAD750 is based on the PowerPC 750 processor and runs at clock speeds from 110 to 200 MHz. It was released in 2001, and its first use in space was on the Deep Impact mission, launched in January 2005. BAE Systems is a British defence and aerospace group.
BAE Systems Electronics was founded in 1999 and is based in Farnborough, UK, United Kingdom. It is listed under ASICs, FPGAs.

What BAE Systems Electronics works on
ASICs
An ASIC, or application-specific integrated circuit, is a chip designed to do one job or a narrow set of jobs. Its circuits are fixed when the chip is made. A CPU can run any program; an ASIC does what it was designed for and nothing else.
FPGAs
An FPGA, or field-programmable gate array, is a chip whose internal wiring can be changed after it is made. It contains a grid of small logic blocks, memory blocks and programmable connections. Loading a new configuration file, called a bitstream, turns it into a different digital circuit.
